The maps linked from this page show the outline of the proposed special improvement district. Note that it covers only the central portion of the Sierra Fire Protection District. The residents of west Washoe Valley, of Verdi, and of Cold Springs who are also within the SFPD will not be part of the special assessment district.
There are two maps, one for the northern part between Holcomb Ranch Lane and the Mount Rose Highway, the other for the area south of the Mount Rose Highway. The approximate boundaries of the proposed special improvement district are shown as black lines.
On the maps, the current Sierra FPD territory is shown in Green, the current Turkey Meadows FPD territory is shown in Yellow, and the city of Reno is shown in Orange. Note that the portions of the city of Reno inadvertently shown within the special improvement district would not be in the district and would not pay a tax.
